two-tone or not to two-tone

well im ready to paint my car cause im done with my shaving. i was wondering what the org. members thought about two-tone black and dark gray, kinda like carbon fiber, black on top and gray on bottom or just a solid color.

I only know of two Maxima's that are like that. One was gold and green, looked horrible. The other is a member by the name of TwoTone, look him up. His car is nice, but it's nothing I'd do personally. And he's a 5th gen, not 4th.

I know a guy with a 96 Lexus ES with a two tone, black on top gray on bottom paint job and it looks horrible. Now, part of that might be because it's an overpriced Camry, but I don't think it would look that good on a max. You can always try photoshopping some pictures though.

My car is currently two tone..but will be repainted this spring/summer. Many people have complimented me on the car...(NO BS-ing) But I don't think that I'm feeling it...anyways...enjoy...and do what you want...not what all these people say.

I think if you were to add a red stripe that ran from the top corner of your your trunk and it ran it on an angle all the way through the doors to the bottom corner of your front wheel well, You would have the perfect A-Team Maxima with your paint scheme.

"Pity tha foo who mess with tha A-team Max!"

;-)

Seriously tho, the 4th gen Max doesn't really have a body design that supports a two tone color scheme. The body is too "roundy" with too few edges. I know I had a 2 tone max. check it out:

My 2¢.

Call me crazy but I wish there still was a Maxima wagon, then my next car wouldn't have to be a Mazda 6. That Gen2 looks nice.

Thanks, and your not crazy. Assuming a 4th gen wagon would have looked nice, I would have bought one. Modded Passat, Audi A4 and 3 series wagons look really nice, IMHO.

And a Mazda 6 should be a sweet car too, I was looking at them. I'll still look at the Mazda 6 hatchback and wagon when it comes time for a new car.

i've seen it on a max and thought it looked pretty good. actually, i've seen it on another where the body kit was painted a different color, i even have the pic saved on my computer. as long as it's done tastefully, then it can look good. but if done wrong can look horrible too.
