Need suggestions on tensioner nut removal.
I'm posting this for white95max here on the .org since he doesn't have access to a computer at the moment. Also the pictures shown are my car, not his. They are just for reference. His car is a 95 so may vary slightly from the pictures shown.
His problem is the nut that holds the tensioner pulley on is rounded off and he would like to remove the nut so he can change his belts (see pics)

It's a pretty tight spot, so fitting much more than a wrench in there is pretty difficult. I'm out of ideas on how to get it off, anyone else got any ideas on how to get that nut off if it's rounded off?
Eric

Try using a pair of vise grip's. Check to see if it's easier to access the nut from underneath the car. I doubt it, but it's worth a shot. Tell your buddy to use metric wrenches next time, so he won't have to deal with rounded off nut's again!!! lol......

2. I was using a metric wrench. The size is 14mm. The problem was that the AC compressor was in the way of my hand when I tried to loosen the nut. It was also very tight, so I had to pull on the wrench with one hand, and push off of the tire with the other, in order to get enough force to loosen the damn nut. When I finally thought that I had loosened it, I found out that it had not loosened at all, it had just gotten rounded off.
