What could make my BRAKE light come on this morning?

What could make my BRAKE light come on this morning?

do u mean it just came on with the car on/off? it came on without ur foot on the brake, please be more specific.

I was just driving down the road and I noticed the light was on. It wasn't when I applied the brakes, it just stayed on. My e-brake was off but I use it every time I park.

My did that i put more brake fluid and has stoped.

1)check brake fluid.
2)get alternator checked out.
