TPS Switch

I need some help/advice here. I have a 99' Maxima SE with 62K. Here is a summary of what has been happening:

- Early last week my check engine light came on, I pulled the self diagnostics code and got 0510. The light did not come back on for the rest of the week.

- Last weekend I started by 60K tune-up and pulled the NGK plugs out and replaced them with Bosch Platinum-2 plugs

- Monday morning, on the way to work I started noticing slight hesitation while accelerating, and Tuesday the check engine light came back on with the same code.

I called the service dept at the dealer because I couldn't find any reference to that diagnostic code. The service guy gave me this description for the code "Closed TPS switch or circuit".

I initially thought that the hesitation during acceleration was due to the new plugs, maybe a mis-seated plug or something... but it now sounds more likely that the TPS system is the problem.

Any thoughts on this... any feedback on replacing the TPS switch would be helpful too.

Thanks!

Not too sure what the problem is but I think most here will tell you to stick with the NGK plugs to avoid problems
