Automatic Climate Control

Does anyone know whether a Automatic Climate Control uses a resistor pack for the blower motor fan. I bought a resistor pack for mine and it cannot be located behind my glovebox as helped with. I even went as far to my blower housing apart. No resistor. Looked behind the radio no resistor. So I am assuming that I have none. Can someone please confirm? I have a chance to salvage a blower motor off a Max at a body shop. Please help.

I don't know about the 4th gen, so hopefully someone will jump in. What fan problems are you having? On the third gen Maxima, the automatic climate control uses a device called an amplifier to control fan speed to the best of my knowledge. The manual climate control uses full voltage to get full fan speed, and a resistor to lower voltage to get the lower three speeds, at least on the 3rd gen.

My fan is not blowing at all. Except every now an then you will here it spinning really slow. But as soon as you cut off the car and start it up it stops working. I got a new blower out of a wreck. I am going to try it and see if I get the same response.
