Installed my Y pipe today......ohh man..

well i installed my y pipe today, and i think i never had a bigger head ache in my life with this. Well first i unloosened the header to Y bolts and then i TRYED to get the 2 bolts that hold the y and the cat together and they just wouldn't come off, one of the was stripped. So i TRYED cutting it off and i didn't get that far cause the mounting bracket was in the way. Then i unbolted the 2 bolts that connect the cat to the b pipe and i just took the whole thing off the car.
None of the bolts would come loose that connect the y to the cat, so i tried drilling them out......it took me 15 to realize that i was going no where with that so i finaly said fucc it and torched them off.......it was a 5 min job and it went quick. but before i did that i had to cut off the y pipe at the bracket so its easier to work with. After that i had to drill out the remainder of the metal that was melted on the cat bracket and that took me about 20 min. Well after all this everything went smoothly, got the O2 sensors on and got everything back up like it should, and i swear if u don't have air tools for this job ur gonna be fucced trying to do this at ur house with a small wratchet set.
But then again that's what i get for buying a car that comes from Colorado, DAM SALT/RUST.......

But im satisfied with the results, and please don't think that ur gonna get some major HP with this...cause ur not, u can tell the difference but alot of people at the org are like "wow what a difference" and from my point of view its a good increase but nothing big, but it sounds nice with my CAI and my stillen muffler. It sounds deep and nice. i love the growl.

mine was 12 hours of hell, saws, bloody hands, and solid rust...

still haven't felt anything amazing from it but give it a few days, it seems to get better (at least for me)

atleast yours is connected, I still need to find the gasket or buy a new one. My car sounds like an old 80s car with a rusted exhaust or soemthing. This install is going to take a day or two :\

It's good to see you were realistic with the expectations of power. You'll be happy to know over the course of a few days the car will get quicker. It won't be like "whoa, find me a 5.0 to tear up", but it will make you happy in the investment.
