hey everyone, I know for sure this must have been beaten to death, but the search option doesnt work for me for some strange reason. Simple question: how do I remove the pinstriping from my car, and the glue residue it will probably leave behind? Sorry again for asking a stupid question .

 

Just soak a spot in windex, and take a blade of some sort, and scrape it off. You can even use your finger nails... It doesnt really leave behind a residue of glue because it is so small. If it does just get some goo-gone or something...

 

very simple... take a hairdryer and heat up the stripe, take a credit card or some other card like that and once the stripe is hot, scrape the card along... the stripe should come off fairly easily... to remove the glue that it left, I used Meguiars Paint Cleaner step 1 of 3, after I got everything off, I waxed the area where I used the paint cleaner... took about 2 1/2 hours to do the whole car

pinstripes...is that the white stripes that run along your car from front to back? the thin little ones?

 

i did mine the day i bought my car and it came off pretty easy just take ur time pulling it. use wax afterwards
