Engine Service Soon light on!!! and y pipe question
so what goes around comes around my buddies engine check light is on in his 2003 Mitsubishi EVO 8 and i have been making fun of him for it. thursday night i come out of work as i normally do and start my car up and there it is Service Engine Soon light is on. So yesterday friday i went into autozone and had them read it with their OBDII scanner and it comes up as P0135 or as i found out on the ".org" 0901 one of my O2 senors is bad. since i am going to be replacing the O2 sensor i may as well have a y pipe installed to make the best of the labor i am going to have to pay. I am very much leaning towards the WARPSPEED pipe other than the buzzing are there any other problems associated with this pipe? i was going to go with stainless steel but if the aluminized steel is good for 4 years then i will go with that . i have 99 SE-L with cali emissions and its 5 speed. the car is totally stock and has about 95000 miles. can anyone refer me to the best place to get an O2 sensor and the warpseed y pipe at a good price. thanks for any feedback
1. i'm in the exact same situation as you.
2. go here for info on Group deals.
3. go here for my thread on the O2 sensor problem.
4. Then go back to the GD forum, because the same guy that got the Y-pipe GD together is getting an O2 sensor GD together.
5. From my understanding, the "buzzing" occurs for like the first 100 miles, as the flex section "breaks in".
