I think diamond plated belongs on truck boxes, not floor mats.

You'll have a easier time getting out stains than carpet floor mats.

This is a biased opinion since my shop created the product. We saw some rally cars in Europe that had metal floor guards and it looked really cool. If you have a stock interior, then don't get them because they will be out of place. But if you have other interior stuff done already, then they look pretty cool. It all depends on the look you're going for. And we ship out hundreds of them a week, so I guess a lot of people like them. However, it is a love it or hate it thing. Not a lot of middle ground.

Just don't get them from Custom Maxima. We used to supply them with the mats, but due to some issues, no longer do. They now use one of the many copycat companies that knocked off the product. Go with Alex at SWA, much nicer guy to deal with and you'll get better service. Ok, that was my shameless plug for the day.

Yes to each their own.

At first I thought it wasnt a bad idea.

But then it reminded me too much of a rollercoaster carriage.

That movie was a mixed blessing. On one hand, it was great for business. On the other, if I have to hear one more idiotic riceboy ask "can you make the mats thick enough so I can cut out my floor and replace it with the diamond plate just like that Eclipse?" I'm going postal.

Nope, you would not catch me putting those things in my max. They are ugly, IMO.
