That's funny. I read in a newspaper recently that in year 2002 (maybe 2003, don't recall) for the first time ever white people became a minority in the state of California, with respect to all other ethnicities combined. Yep, white people constitute only 49% of California's population today. Just a fun fact for YA'LL.

That's where you're wrong. Europe has some of the nastiest cars...every country has its ridiculous ricers. Have you even picked up a Euro-Tuning magazine before? Even Hamman BMWs are pretty tacky looking. Asia has NEVER adopted a "Euro" style, I'm Asian I would know. Asia has some nasty looking cr@p (Japan and their fixed up trucks/vans, etc.) just like everywhere else. If anything Asia has the nicest cars...from the drifters to the VIP cars to the very tasteful and clean Hondas/Nissans/Toyotas/etc. which we would call JDM over here. A lot more interesting than seeing VW Jettas with green lense taillights if you ask me.

I live in miami and around here everyone is pretty much hispanic. Not that many mexicans but they are around. But even though you do see a lot of rice around here, there are plenty very nice cars. BTW, dominican and cuban!!

Hit the brakes for a sec guys.

I don't think anyone meant any disrespect by this thread. Things could have been worded better but I believe the original post is about a Mexican who drives a riced out Maxima and thought it was funny. Why's it funny? Because the term "riced out" originally referred to Asians who did stupid things to their cars and made them look tacky.

Now, the discussion took a turn for the worse with the term "mexicanricedout." I doubt it was malicious because it could be a play on words (mexican rice).

Anyway, I personally HATE all riced out cars and will waste the gas and drive WOT to make them look bad in front of their "crew."

Rice comes from the cars being made in Asia...not Asian drivers If you go back even further it comes from WWII Mitsubishi Zero fighters being called rice-burners

I dont think the guys meant to disrespect but it has nothing to do with what you are talking about. It has more to do with the stereotypical "Mexican style" of fixing up cars.

I am the Whitest white-boy there is. Keep that in mind when reading the following:

BOSS- Dude, you are a jerk. It seems like every time I visit the .org I have to read some blow hard know it all that thinks he isn't offending anyone, he is just "telling it like it is" well you are wrong with everything you have said in this thread with 1 exception. There are less white people in CA than ALL other minorities combined, that is true. What is your point? Are all minorities bad? Is it bad that white people don't rule everything? Are you afraid that your suburban lifestyle will be threatened by the influx of cabaleros? Mexicans (and Indians, and Armenians, and Cubans and everyone who comes to America for that matter) come here for the same reason as you ancestors did. To prosper in freedom. And I bet those Mexicans are not killing the natives and stealing their land in the process.
I see a lot of Mexicans and other minorities that "pimp" or "rice" or "whatever" their cars and it looks tacky, but I would rather see that than some stupid white guy driving his stock 2-tone Chevy Suburban by himself weaving through traffic at 85 mph on the Stevenson Expy. while listening to Rush Limbaugh and eating a Super Sized Big Mac. So, if you want to be racist (that is the correct usage of the word since you have made multiple racist comments) go do it in your buddy Jimbo's basement while drinking PBR from a can and not on the .org

Nowhere in your response did you prove me wrong. True, some of Europe's cars are nasty, like IMO Fiat's, Renault etc. and some of Japan's cars are nastly as well, but that's true of any country/continent/region so what is your point? You ask me about Euro-tuning magazines, and yes, I do read them quite often. Seems that euro-tuning magazines is the closest you have ever come to european cars. Have you ever even been to Europe? I have traveled there a lot, and lived there for some time as well, so I think I would know. I've been to just about every European country and you obviously weren't. Some of the best cars on earth are made in Europe like porsches, bmw's, benz, ferraris, martins, etc. etc. You're missing the point again though.

You say you are Asian so you would know? Well, it doesn't seem that way. What about the EVO's? EVO's have come a long way, regarded to this day as one the best european rally cars. You say Asians have not adopted the style? As far as I know EVO's were always made in Japan and look at the new EVO - comes standard with factory installed clears, big wing, and MANY MANY other "euro"-like features. Same goes for the STI and other Japan-made performance cars. The whole world practically nowdays HAS adopted "euro" style for their cars, which yes, does come from europe. First off, there's a reason why it's called "euro" style. Almost every performance product you would buy had, or has a "euro" associated with its name. Stupid things like clears front and back for the Maxima were and still are often referred to as "euro" tails or "euro" lens ,etc. Most people give their cars the "euro" look, even yourself, because we all know it looks best. I know your taste judging from your wheels and other mods and I admit, I like it very much. That's because everything about your Maxima is "euro" style.

Based on your response, what you don't know is that this often used word "EURO" on performance products comes from a style, which evolved through European touring and rally cars, which were the first to appear with the already-listed characteristics. Where do you think cleared lights became so popular first? Through what do you think big turbo, engine, suspension and other performance upgrades became most popular? What about the big a$$ spoilers that look like wings? It all comes from European race car drivers who took on a new era of automotive modifications, never really seen before in such magnitude. True, these european race car drivers went with an extremely "rice" look, but that's for a reason in most cases - we shouldn't forget the potential of these vehicles. And believe me, it is VERY different when a "ricer" here in the USA puts on a 4 ft wing on his turbo'ed honda civic FROM when a European rally car does this (be it an ever more popular EUROPEAN Ford Focus), where the suspension alone costs approx. $100,000.

I agree. Ive read so many threads where BOSS is always putting somone down. It seems like BOSS feels he knows it all and that his opinion is always right.
Im Mexican, I dont feel my car looks like S@#t because of that fact.
Its funny, so many people are so quick to put others down or stereotype people when they need to look at themselves first.
I also find it funny that people always make negative comments towards others rides and taste when in fact the ones making these comments have little to no mods on their own vehicles.

They know what they are doing in europe, and they know how to drive their car's well. If anyone has seen any of the Gettaway in Stockholm's or Rendevious (ferrari in paris) then they'll know what i'm talking about. They drive a ford cosworth, which is a turbocharged escort and do it up fully, and then it keeps up with a highly tuned supra, and will out corner anything. Whenever something is done right it looks great, but people try to make attempts at stuff, and then it all fall's apart, that's where these terms come into play.

HAHA, I'm not a racist, but if you people think I am then I can care less. Just shows how unintelligent some of you freaks are. ...And boy do I hate that - it's like certain black people nowdays going around and calling everyone "racist" for whatever reason, every chance they get so they can either 1) get on the 9 o'clock news and have their 5 seconds of fame or 2) get money.

Anyway, if you think what I said about riced-out mexican rides is racist, then I'm sorry to inform you that the rest of your life is going to be one big disappointment.

Of course, I've seen them all. Did you see the 4th Gettaway in Stockholm, the one with the Z06 and other fast rides?

Anyway, thanks JJmax , seems that you completely understand the "euro" concept, unlike Ludacris and others, who obviously still have much to learn.

Haha, there was no other subject you idiot. LOL

Plus, go to page 1 and you'll see that I DID NOT actually start talking about "riced out mexican" rides. I only stated my opinion on what a "riced out mexican" car looks like in my book after it was already mentioned by someone else. Nonetheless, judging from the responses thereafter, many knew exactly what I was referring to.

Next time read the thread carefully before making a complete fool of yourself again.

Well, what was of concern to me is that comment about "Straight off the boat" style and how you associated "Mexicans" with everyone that looks like a mexican. I normally dont take offense at that kind of stuff but damn. Its obviously escalated into something huge. Youre even bring "certain" black people into it now. Come on. Im gonna go ahead and stop posting so this thread can eventually disintegrate and we wont have to hear about statistics and how the rest of our lives will be a disappointment. We hear about that **** everyday anyway. I urge everyone to stop posting here as well.

Your wonderful article on the superiority of european automotive design, styling and performance was touching. You mustve learned a lot while backpacking through europe in your youth. Well, its true, most of us "obviously havent" had the oppurtunity. We probably arent capable of earning that kind of money, and sorry, there really isnt any "old money" in mexico. Just keep your Elitist comments to yourself and your little country club buddies and you wont have to look like an *** defending yourself so much.

P.S. I dare you to post a picture of yourself. Just make sure there is an American Flag in the background so we dont confuse where your coming from.

-Done with this thread

Dude are you really going to start this again...last time this happened you ended up resorting to immature flames bc you had nothing left. You didn't even reply to my last post in that thread..instead opting to hunt my posts down and flame me.

My OPINION is that cars that are fixed up in Asia are the nicest looking (although like I said every country has it's tacky ricers). And your whole Japan and Asia copying Europe thing is just plain ridiculous.

-Me not having been to Europe is like you not having been to Asia.

- about the evo example. They don't design a rally race car to look "Euro"...wtf. Mitsubishi, like Subaru, even Hyundai and Nissan in the past decided to enter rally to prove their cars' abilities. For your big wing example that was for downforce buddy...not to copy this cool Euro style. Since when did Europe own the copyright to clear lenses for headlights...think about why car companies would use clear lenses instead of the old lenses with patterns molded into them (hint: it's not because of the "awesome" Euro style). So when Cadillac entered LeMans were they copying your so called European style by putting a big wing and designing a really low car with great aerodynamics and downforce...since LeMans is held in Europe and all. BTW you say the EVO has "many many more euro like features"...mind letting us know what they are? Or did you just say that bc there arent really any and you were grasping at straws..

-Things being branded Euro are to get idiots to buy them, same with this new imitation jdm. I mean...you realize what a lot of ppl called Euro tails were Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300 tails right? I'm sure you know where this car is built. This whole branding process is really stupid so I don't even know why you brought it up.

I am not going for a "Euro" look...I am going for my look. For you to think graphite colored wheels with a bare metal lip is Euro is really...ugh. I will admit one thing though tinted tails are more a Euro style like altezzas are American and OEM red/amber are Japanese.

-If you really feel that turbos, big wings and suspension upgrades are all because of the Euro style i really feel sorry for you. All these are for one purpose: to win.

So I'm guessing you're gonna say that all these JGTC cars look like this bc they are Euro and copying the way European rally cars look...and I'm gonna guess youre also gonna say that the Nissan Skyline GT-R has twin turbos, a big spoiler, clear lense headlights and graphite colored wheels because it is copying the Euro style too right? There are definetly nicely done up European cars...I used to love the Escort Cosworths in elementary school but quit being so arrogant, you aren't always right dude.

Grasping at everything you can in hopes of manipulating someone to agree with you. He wasn't even agreeing with what you were saying. He just said Europe can have nice cars if done up properly which pretty much goes for every country in the world. Obviously ppl like BOSS have much to learn about the world outside of Europe.

edit: After reading all your posts flaming other ppl (in addition to me) and saying all these offensive things about other ethnicities I really regret helping you so much with your wanting to paint your wheels. I mean, the main reason you want to paint the wheels is bc others like it. Your posts have always been immature rants and flames, and you've never added anything to the Maxima community. why hasn't BOSS been banned yet he's the Igor of the 4th gen board. Like BadFish I am out and won't be back...sorry for whoring the thread I can't stand someone talking out of their a$$ and acting like they are right, whether in person or behind a keyboard.

this thread is racist & should be locked a long time ago....

BOSS you do say stupid comments and than defend yourself by saying it's just how it is... straight of the boat??? As far as I know, you're straight off the boat too right??? or is it straight of the plane... half you bishes on here were born in a different country but yet you still jump all over a thread when it has the word "mexican" in it. . .

What is an exact definition of "riced" as far as moded cars go? I have heard several and still see that it seems everyone has their own idea of "riced." If a vehicle is hooked up for show and purely for show is it "riced?" Hey, my baby has over 132k on her and her engine isnt getting any younger. I have had my good times of cruisin at 120+ but it is time for her to settle down. Her engine may not be getting any younger but with some "plastic surgery" her body will still be lookin nice! Dont get me wrong though, Im not planning on anything ugly, in my view at least, cause hey, I could care less what others think about my baby as long as I am lovin it. I am not planning on going out and racing thinking a body kit and spoiler will make her faster, I am planning on getting them purely for show. And hey, I am Euro, I was born in and have much love for Germany and just became a U.S. citizen last year but I would take my Max over a German made vehicle any day. Yes I have a German flag hanging from my rear view mirror but I plan on keeping my baby Pearl White. I am not going to color her black, red and gold. Oh, since middle school most of my closest friends have been of Hispanic origin and my wife is half Puerto Rican so I can see the things that are offensive when you refer to a whole race or ethnicity rather than an individual, my friends and wife think things like the "go cart small wheels sticking out" is nasty and I have seen several people of various races and ethnicities do this.
