A/T shifter light...
A/T shifter light...

I did that on my 3rd gen...and I wana do it on my 4th. I messed around a lil bit to see if I could take it off...but I was about to break something so I stopped.
Anyone know how?
yes.
remove your center console, two screws on the back part, slide the seats forward to get to them. pop off shifter trim. remove those two screws, lift the whole thing up/off. (don't forget to undo ebrake boot)
reach under, follow wire/tubing and twist the harness and you'll see the 194 bulb. buy a 194 wedge led and wallaaaaa.

Red doesn't show up very well. But It looks like your Calipers are red so it makes sense. I have red accents so it was a nobrainer for me but that light isn't really important anyway. Red also helps for night driving.
P.S. I get all my 194 LED's from a local Tuner/Radio shop. $9 a pair and I don't have to wait for shipping.

They're NOT leds. #194 is a bulb you can get at any auto parts store.
So I have to take the WHOLE center console off? Armerest, cup holeders...and the plate that goes AROUND the shifter?
