CAI install-O2 sensor help
On the stock air box('96) there is an O2 sensor just infront of the MAF. On the CAI there is nowhere for this to go, so I am left with an open plug that used to plug into it. My question is....Does this affect anything with the engine to leave it off? Or should I somehow rig the CAI to include this sensor. None of the install helps I could find had anything to say about this sensor.
Help is appreciated.....Aus

OK, This is what I did....
When I installed the CAI I noticed on the small pipe that there was a rubber seal with a plastic stopper in it. I though, "I bet the temp sensor will fit in there". Well after pulling the CAI apart and taking that pipe off the car I found that it did fit, bit snug but it fit. I had to cut the rubber a bit on the inside so that there will be good airflow thru the sensor, but I think it is a great solution. No screws or nothing. It should hold all by itself. But I didnt want to trust it so I just Zip tied it around the pipe, just to make sure it doesnt fall out.
Good easy solution overall. Considering I had some JB weld and was all set to cut some holes in the pipe and Rig up a bracket for the stupid sensor.
Thanks for the help...
