yes a lot of people have bought strut bars off ebay, they are fine. the only reason to buy one from stillen or custommaxima would have one that looked a little bit nice. as for those 3 bars, they are all exactly the same, buy whichever is cheapest

I would also recommend to buy from the second one that you listed, ReVotec. All the bars in the three are the same, but I got one from ReVotec, and it came really quickly and was just like they said. It works great! They were a good seller!

You are going to hvae to use a file on any of these just a little to make them fit. It is not a huge fitment problem, but everyone talks about it.

Here is a thread I did on it:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=282818

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks. I'm hoping it pops on nice and easy. Did yours come with the basic install instructions including torqueing specs? Did you follow the torque spec when you installed it?

I guess to be safe I want to follow torque specs and I'll probably pick up a torque wrench since I've been meaning to. Any help here, mansurxk?

That's not completely true. Yes EBAY bars work but bars like the CATTMAN, where there is no hinge(one piece design) are still better. They don't flex as much since there is no bolt securing one piece to the other. Is it wort it to pay $200 for a strut bar? Hell no.

yeah, really. I mean, even if the bar is one piece, it does not do that much. No FSTB does. They correct a little torque steer and that is all.

You can rent a torque wrench from Autozone. I think you just have to leave a deposit, and then you get it back when you bring it back.

That is good that the 95's don't have fitment issues.

With the 99, it was still not that big of a deal.

I have a 99 and I just put on an OTTO Racing FSTB that I got from eBay (Procarparts.com was the seller). I had no fitment problems. It presses lightly on the hard line on the passenger side, whatever that line is, but it's got enough play for that not to be an issue at all.

you dont need instructions, 3 bolts where the struts meet the engine bay, unscrwe them with 19 mm or osmething, mabye 14 or osmething, both sides, slip on the strut bar, and put the bolts back on, thers a certain way to put it on, check the FAQ's or How-tos, certain way means thers a right direction and a wrong direction, after that just put the bolts on and torque with a torque wrench, you can get that from autozone, torque to 30 + or - 2 ft lbs

I doubt instructions are included with any FSTB.

On the 99s, the bolts are huge ... 22mm I think.

I'll probably be the only one that has had a bad experience with ebay bars. I bought one off of ebay and had to return it because one of the adjustable screws would not screw in. I had to return it but it never came back. I contacted the company but they said that they never recieved it. I reported it to ebay but haven't heard anything from ebay or the company eva again.

I still want one but i hear that once you upgrade your suspension, it's not really necessary to get a FSTB.

That's the A/C line Masaccio. I also have the Otto bar and mine was really close to the A/C line. I don't think you want ANY contact here. Even a slight contact, over time could cause wear and possibly leak in your A/C line. Just bend the bracked down slightly (doesn't take much) to move the A/C line away from the bar. Check once and a while to make sure you don't have contact. Enjoy.

Thanks. I think I did that, but I'll have to check again to see if the line has moved up again.

Mine didn't bump anything.

It helps with torque steer. The FSTB does not help with body roll, like a lot of newbs think, but rather torque steer. (keeps the wheels from searching back and forth and back and forth, when accelerating fast.)
