short ram + k&n filter good for a first performance mod?

any other suggestions are welcome

 

thats the first thing that i did to my car, i think its the best way to go. after that, work on the exhaust, starting with the y-pipe and so on.

 

should i get the midpipe from ebay and k&n from autozone?

 

The K&N sounds good, I guess you could get a midpipe off of ebay. It's just a pipe, you'll be paying for the name like everything else...

Personally, I am just going to get a y-pipe and leave the rest of the exhaust as-is. The rest of the exhuast you will not see THAT much of a gain anyways... A new muffler would be pretty

 

id say get everything off ebay, if you can find it, it will be cheaper.

 

maybe buy a cai kit and have both the mid pipe and the long pipe just incase i wanna try the cai.
o yeah one more thing. would the cai be better as far as sound?
