I am trying to replace the gauge faces for the Instument Cluster on my 95 Maxima GXE

I have done the following:
1. Removed the knee bolsters
2. Removed steering columns covers
3. Dropped the steering column.
4. Removed the two screws at the top of the instrument cluster bezel

I am stuck here..
It seems that the bottom of the bezel is retained by clips.
Again there are switches on the bezel (cruise etc..)
What else do I have to do to remove the bezel, so that I can gain access to the instrument cluster ?

Any help/pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Deb

For more specific instructions, go here:

and then go to the How2 section.

The next step is to pry out instument cluster bezel from the top, then do the bottom. The bottom does have 2 clips. You will have to disconnect any wiring before you remove the instument cluster bezel. The Haynes manual just says to remove from the bottom. From experience, you will need to pull out from top, then bottom. Good luck.

do what max808 said. i just finished that mod. the bottom sticks...you have to "be gentle" and pull the bottom out from the clips.
