brake question

hey tonight when i was washing my car and i sprayed water on my rotors they started steaming pretty bad. it was the rotors cuz when i touched them they were hot. what would cause this? i didn't drive hard or brake hard before i washed it either. yesterday i rotated my tires and painted my calipers black, could this have anything to do with why they are hot? thanks

brakes get hot with normal driving if you see smoke without spraying water then you should worry

Also try and wash the car/rotor when cool. Cooling off warm/hot rotors will cause warping quicker. They will be okay as if it were raining but just speeding up the life of the rotor.Best bet just wash when cool ya know, No harm no foul
