problem with corner bulbs

i have a problem with my bulbs in my corner housings (the ones next to the headlights). i bought some polarg hyper white bulbs from custommaxima.com about 4 months ago. one morning i come out and my bulbs just dont work at all. they were working fine the night before. so i open them up and tinker with them, and turn them back on and they work, but they are very dim, kinda like the way the stock ones look before you do the mod to make them brighter. when i bought these i did that mod and they looked great until now. any idea as to whats wrong? do these bulbs have a short life span or what?

The wiring harness's may be bad, they bulb housing may be damaged, or the bulbs could be messed up. All these problems can/will occur when you do that rewire mod. I
have said this in other posts; It's not a safe mod! The system isn't made to draw twice as much current. Eventually, the wires, the housing, or the bulbs can fail. I just put in superwhite bulbs and got the same effect, with no side effects. Later
