clutch completely toast?

yesterday i took my slicks out for the first time to a deserted road. we put water down, and i tried to smoke 'em. i could not do it! i was ****ed. at first i was doing it wrong, i pulled the e-brake and just kinda took off like i was driving. it actually drove, even with the e-brake all the way up.

then, i realized i should be popping the clutch more, and did that. i was in the car, dropped it, and it was going through second, revving up with the clutch out. i even saw smoke! so i stopped, and my buddy outside the car said my tires didnt move! damn! my clutch was very stinky at that point. it feels different now, like i cant tell when it is grabbing. it feels the same throughout the whole range of motion.

so is it ruined? or will it be ok once it cools? or will it be ok and then be bad again when it heats up? should i not run my slicks at the races in 2 weeks?
i mean, if i do, will my clutch just burn up again when i do the burnout at the track?

any input is highly appreciated.

I exactly know what happend to you cause it happens to me last summer. Now the clutch feel a kind of shredding all the way when you let it go right.

Since last summer i didn't change my clutch because i usually don't race alot and she's still working. But you can forget about high rpm launch starts, your clutch will never recover entirely cause you have left some lining on the flywheel. She will slip for sure.
