I know those are altezas and I never liked those, but my right side tail was cracked so I figured I'll take a chance on these ones.
What' you think?

Even though I despise altezzas, those look ok with a black car. I'm almost compelled to say they somehow complement the rims. But either way, it's your car, nobody's opinion here should matter. Do what you want.

I think your next mod should be some tein-S tech springs and illuminas. You've got more ground clearance than a lifted H2. .. Heh, I'm just messin around, but seriously, it'll look much better lowered.

yeah, I am gonna attempt the red clear mod. I just didn't want to have holes in the *** if I fcuked it up.
Actually it looks quite good IMO. I could live with it, but we will see when I finish the red clear.

Get the Gen2 altezzas with the LEDS and then do the "skyline" taillight mod.

or you can get red/clears made and then black out the red part so its black and white. Thats what im fixin' to do. or black out the white part so its red and black. thats what i might be fixin' to do too. Piece.

I don't want to diss or anything because everyone has there own personal style, but I really think that looks like dog sh_t. The silver/chrome outline makes the tail lights stand out way too much. They would look a million times better with the silver/chrome area painted black. Don't take this to heart, it's just my opinion. If you do feel like getting mad at me, then all I have to say is look at the picture of your car & tell me I'm wrong....

Maciek, your max is black, I would do the DTM ... It's easier than cutting out the clear part on the red/clears & it would match nicely...

if you wanna go red/clear... you just missed a group deal for $99 shipped @ CustomMaxima...

Now why would I get mad at you? I asked for people's opinions on the setup, didn't I?
I am glad you guys said what you do and don't like about it.
True, the bottom line is if I like it, but by you all pointing things out, it brings it into a perspective. Just to make sure I am not overlooking somethings, just because I got excited about a new mod.
Thanks

I like the black chrome altezzas on my car, but I ended up swapping to red/clear. If you're interested, I still have the tezzas if you wanna buy cheap.

I personally don't like round tail lights on a car that is meant and designed to have rectangular one. It just doesn't look right.

As far as keeping the altezzas, I think the chrome goes with the theme you have of the chrome door handles and wheels.

I personally think that the wheels belong on like a Grand Am or Impala or something.

Just my .02

Regarding the chrome wheels:

1. Yes they are heavy. You can feel the difference in acceleration the moment you put them on.

2. I am not a huge fan of those on my car anymore. I bought them, because it was a very good deal. I wanted ones like those in the past and once the opportunity came, I took it.

3. As soon as I sell them I am after some 17s, not chrome and fairly light.

4. They a look pretty hot in slo-mo though...

I have those same alteeza black chrome tail lights and I dont like them anymore. If that grey border was black then it would be cool. I am gonna clear out my stock tail lights. As far as chrome wheels I personally like them on any car, import or domestic. Sure they are heavy but if you are just crusin' around town nothing catches the females' eyes like chrome wheels on a black car. Just imo.
