Smoked Cefiro headlights - problems

If you have these lights and have the wiring upgrade to where it runs at 27w instead of 8w.... make sure u check it, my housing started melting

I've seen it on 2 different Cefiro headlights now...

Joffe, have you asked Darrick for his help since he isn't having that issue?

Yes this is correct. I almost messed mine up I just checked it in time.

Another question is - Are you using your STOCK BULB HOLDER for the corners or the ones that came with cefiro? It is very easy to switch from 27 to 8W in cefiro holder.

This is true for both the smoked and regular cefiro's.
I am actually hoping for mine to melt so I can take that plastic piece off. One side is melted a little, the other side is fine.

There is an inner plastic capsule (the top of which prevents direct view of the bulb from the front), that will melt if you light it up withthe 21 or 27 watt parking light. Ange warned of this...

I sent an email out to those on the very first groupbuy advising my customers about this.

Its easier to acquire these headlamps nowadays.. but not all sellers will bother to tell you anything except where to send the money.

Yes, in modding your car, you take the risk.
At the same time, here's another reason why you stick with the sellers that are responsible enough to inform the customer in avoiding potential problems such as this.
