pics & directions for 97-99 Maximas with mesh grill - please post
Ok, so I think that a custom mesh grill gives ANY Maxima a very aggressive look - and boy do I like that!
Can you guys post pics of some mesh grills on Maximas so that I can get an idea of what to go after?
Also, I found the directions in the stickies: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=38
...but are there any others? These directions don't have much pics and are not very detailed. I am very "visual" when it comes to modding so please supply me with other links.
Finally, where does one get the mesh grill from? I'm not about to spend more than $25 for a stupid mesh grill, so I will under no circumstances buy the rip-off ones from auto-performance sites. I heard home depot?
My Max is black, so I'd probably want to paint the mesh grill black, provided it wasn't to begin with. What paint recomendation for such?

go to home depot, find where they sell this stuff called gutter guard. That is the mesh ya use. Also get some heavy duty gloves because once you start cutting, those edges aren't nice on the hands. I used a a clear coat primer and applied a few layers to keep it from rusting up. The toughest part is molding it around the nissan emblem, or if you are going to just have the mesh then it should be really easy to cut/bend/ and mount the mesh. Once you are done you will appreciate it, gives it a good look. After one NE winter it still looks fine. Just take your time on it, because I have seen some half *** mesh jobs on maximas and it is just wrong....

use the zip ties to mount the grill in place, use the zipties in the corners where you can barely see it at all unless you look really hard.

This'll give you a basic idea with more pictures: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=275284 (it's for 95/96)
I'm doing mine too. I got a spare 95 grille that I can use at home I got a hinged gutter guard from Menards (it's about 36"x6" and it was $1.xx something). I have it cut already (it was hard cutting with scissors) so it's kind of messed up. I'm going to see how it'll look as a silver color and if I don't like it, I'll paint it a flat black.
That golden burger on the front of my car has to go
