for me it depends... i think 97-99 look much better with a stock wing but if you have a 95/96 and red/clears no wing looks best

sadlers car is an exception.... I THINK when you slam your car to the ground it looks good without the wing, but if ur stock height or reg 1.5drop or something a wing looks good.. for some reason.

I like the stock wing, but it depends on the car.
I like your car without it, Cash.

i say the wing all the way and it gives you more downforce especially in the corners.

whats so funny? u dont believe that the wing gives u more downforce? i know this because when u check the stats for a 5th gen max, the se model with the spoiler has more downforce and pulls more g than a gxe or se model.

Stock wing...period. A maxima, esp 4th gens, shouldnt have even come without them. They are god-awful ugly without spoilers. Not one max that i have ever seen without one looks good (yes, sadlers included, not sure of everyones obcession with his car is?!?!).

Do you know how fast you would have to be going, esp in a corner, for that to actually be true? I mean, Porsche's have the wing that comes up, and it is actually functional, but a Maxima....I don't think so. If there is a "g-force" difference (prolly is), it is just so minor that you will not feel anything from it at all.

Plus, we are 4th gen max. We are not 5th gen.
Also, we are front wheel driven. why would we want down force on the rear of the car to bring the front(where the power is applied) up? That doesn't make sense.

to keep the back straight in corners. u never went into a corner fast enough in a max and have ur back slide out?

yes, but the wing is not going to help with that. The type of wing that we have on our cars is for looks. That is it! It is asthetically pleasing.

Those type of turns are fun.....

our spoilers are not just for looks. They do add down force, the front has plenty at highway speed.

I like the stock spoiler, Type II and Type X too.

Anybody know where to get a stock se spoiler, especially prepainted-if it is good quality paint? any other spoiler suggestions that look good? Is it hard to wire up the 3rd brake light on a spoiler for a gxe?

Honestly, I like both. My friend just got his max painted, lowered, and a stillen kit with no wing and it looks HOT!!!!.

Slammed95's car looks awsome with the stillen kit, and NO WING! Looks agressive and classy.

The stock wing looks fine, but I wouldn't take mine off. But if it didn't have one, I wouldn't put one on.

I like the look of the wing on most cars, but I don't like it enough to make me spend money on it.

The wing isn't bad, but I'd prefer my SE didn't have it. I don't like wings on ANY car. Period. Wings on street cars are pretty much meaningless unless you take your car over 120mph. Wings today are like the "fins" of yesterday, pointless and style driven.

Man, I hoped you were joking, but I guess not. There are very few cars out today that have purposeful wings and the Maxima isn't one of those cars.

I didn't wanna go back to that, but since you did...
I can't believe that one may think that there is a difference in cornering with or without the wing, during our driving.
First of all with a FWD it starts being pretty pointless to begin with, unlless you go like 150mph, and I highly doubt anyone here has.
It is styling 100%. Good styling, don't get me wrong, but it ain't gonna save you from a tailslide.
Put me down for a max with a spoiler (for esthetic reasons of course)

I have an SE with spoiler. But sometimes I wish I didnt have one. The mounts are broken and causes rattle with the bass of my stereo and I think no wing looks cleaner. But I must keep my wing so I dont have to spend extra money on filling holes.

well i can admit that i went almost as fast as 150. i hit 140 on my max (or maybe even faster) but the gauge went to 140 and i called it quits cause i got that feling that a cop might pop out somewhere.
