you should be able to take him without his nos , but when he its that switch you screwed cause specv's are pritty quick.

 

i get lost in all the mods but the sentra looks mean ! sounds like fun , you guys should line them up at the dragway and race 1/4 of a mile. none of that 0-60 junk ! lol -- line them up like men !

Well Nos is nos and specv's are a close race and with NOS he will take you, even if its a 50 shot

Depends on what spec your talking about. If its 04 then your dead. The 02's and 03's have terribly bad gearing and therefore can't lay power for **** without spinning but are still very light and powerful in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I went to the track with a Nissan tech with an 02 with the same mods + UDP and he ran a 14.7 with bad track conditions(15MPH headwind and very cold). With good conditions and a 75 shot it would be in the 13 second club. My guess is that you aren't gonna be fast at all with 19's. My guess, he'll beat you by almost 2 seconds.

 

What do you have for mods? I raced my friends 03 Sentra and he stayed with me until 70 and i started pulling a little. Then we had to slow down due to traffic. He was stock, i had injen CAI, y-pipe, cat back exhaust.

 

i don't have 19's anymore i need to change my screen name or just look at my sig.Second he says he ran a 13.8 at the track with stock tires and about 40% tread.Lastly it must be a 03 or 02 since hes had it for a while

true dat. My neighbors spec ate my car alive, and all he has is a header, CAI, and exhaust. Those cars are extremely quick and unless you have Nitrous or anything close to a supercharger, you probably won't beat him...but it all depends on the driver too.

 

i did some looken in to the spec-v, the cause is cuz here in tri cities, WA theirs a nice little spec-v with a cf hood and supposeitly no mods other than an exhaust saying he beat a supra and i must add a twin turbo supra and also a mustang cobra and is now stating that he can beat my frnds 2003 celica gt-s that has a intake. So comes to find out that, the spec-v's r real quick n the 1st through 3rd gears and if u dont have a good jump then ur toast .

 

the race will depend on the mods of each car and the driver assuming you are 5spd.
a stock 03 spec is about .2 seconds slower than a 5spd 4th gen on paper. A good driver can make the difference.
If you guys have about the same mods, then it will be a fun race.

 

I think it comes down to this. Spec v's aren't quick. MY best friend has a spec v and I can safely swich lanes and pass him in first gear it's so slow. And he has ebay intake, header and cat back. But with a 75 or even 50 shot he'll take you. If no spray you'll take him. Get the same shot and you'll win. There slow but not so slow that you can take them on the squeeze. Just my.02

Those little things are very quick even without spraying.
with spraying, you don't have a chance.
Your car is tons heavier than his, and unless he drives like a granny, he should beat you like everyone else is saying.

depnedson the driver without nas. with nas ur toast just like i was trying to race my friends 78 280z datsun with nas. i was ahead of him the whole time until he hit nas and then he pulled like crazy.

 

If has two nawzzzs' he can run 9s!

 

And if he has 3 he can run 7s on street tires!

There is absolutely no way that a spec v with only a CF hood can even come within a shooting chance of touching a completely stock Supra TT (underrated at 320HP). Those things are mid-high 13's stock at over 100mph. Depends on the Cobra, but if he's talking about the new ones then he really needs to be shot, those are way underrated at 390HP/390TQ they dig into the 12's. His Spec V is low 15's at best without mods. The Celica will beat him, but at least it won't be as close as the Supra TT and Cobra. Mod for mod the Spec V is slower than a 4th gen Max. Assuming he has a 50 shot though he will stomp you. Badly.

a stock maxima will take a stcok spec v anyday unless the driver can't drive cause spec v are slow. a modded max will take a modded spec v also unless nas is involved.

 

I'm gonna guess that the SPEC-V with only a CF hood beat the Supra TT & the Cobra because they were to busy roasting the tires off the line to gain any ground? & the race only lasted 300ft.

My friend Steve is a Nissan fanatic! All he has ever owner is Nissans. He currently owns a 03 SPEC-V with like every friggin part that Stillen sells for that thing except (for any form of boost) & I pee on him in my 4th gen auto everytime we race. I have only the basic performance upgrades air filter & exhaust + nitrous, but he makes me take the bottle out before we race. If you guys are both using the same amount of nitrous then you will toast him even worse then if both cars were bone stock. Just my opinion!!!!!

i'm so confused becaused some say all me then others say all him,and as for david its some guy posting on houston-imports.com as spec v kid.I don't know him but hes talking trash to every one even 90's hacth civics with gsr motors.that run high 13's saying he will win against them too!But were meeting up but now someone called him out as well and wants to meet at the track the 28th.maybe i'll wait till then and record so i can prove some people wrong never give up on the max!!!

 

track is the safest place to do it anyway. no tickets at the end to pay anyway.

Try to remember I don't have any traction problems, like his SPEC-V. I usually have about 2 - 3 cars on him before he even hooks up?

no. sr20s with boost r quik. even t25s on an sr 20 are running high 12s..low 13s. I drove a DET SE-R...it moved...VERY WELL..cant wait to be TURBO in 2 months!

 

i agree with u , i didnt think n any way can the spec-v can beat the supra tt, and i love my max but the spec-v's aren't slow they r quick by all means and if u beat a spec-v in a lil race would not count so those that beat them in a cheap race have no room to say that their slow.

so give the spec's some credit instead of none at all

 

my cousin got an 03 spec v with a CAI and mine has CAI 2 5spd, all i can tell u man they r quick but that doesnt mean u should lose fath and it matter about the take off too, me and him race couple of time if u lunch worng then ur bretty much done and the same for him 2. About that mustang GT that he was talkin about i beat 1 like 2month ago it was like 1995 but it was a GT i dont know what he has in it we did it of the light and i took him by about a car and half after u finish that race on sat tell us how did everything go and good luck man.

I've said it in the past and I'll say it again, don't sleep on those Spec V's. I've driven them and they are quick. With mods and a good driver, it can own you.

 

yeah but i got mods too! cai,stage 2 act clutch,75shot,falken drag radials plus good driver =win (hopefully)

 

those cars are quick bt i've taken one while we were on highway up until my speed limiter kicked in.

 

Hmmm, ever thought you might have to pick up the tranny after a run with a stage 2 and nitrous?
