We went through this before...

people have between 30K up to 300K . . . Cars are strong & don't worry about buying one with 150K as long as everything is working & looks to be ok...

ok... well im thinking about getting a 98 or 99 and what mileage would be good anything around 75K? I know maximas last strong but my tranny blew at 135K so my parents are still skeptical about a max w/ more than 80K? thanks

1997 SE has 106,000 miles. Runs and drives like brand new. I replaced starter at 95K, O2 sensor at 85K and clutch and flywheel at 85K. These are fairly normal Maxima weak points. The car is great, get one.

got mine with 170k from a Nissan parts dealer.
Still running very strong with good compression still. I get 25 in town and 28-29 mpg on the highway.
I now have 190K. The only thing that went bad was the KS.

97 SE 302,000 miles and still running. For now anyway......I've had her since new and it's been a good car to me. However, my new car is in(LS430) so she'll be traded Thursday.

FWIW, I would have liked another Nissan product but found the new Max to be overpriced for what it is and I think the Q45 is ugly. So I went with Lexus. It's certainly not a sporty car like the Max, but it's fun to cruise the highway in.

30k Max??? That is some real luck. I am at 77K with 99 SEL... as long as you put gas, change the oil and love your Max a little, it will be good to you.
