Everyone that has a 95-96 Maxima needs to do the red-out mod. It looks incredible!

Did it last night. I used the Testors Candy Apple Red paint. I'll post some pictures of it in a lil bit. I highly suggest all 95-96ers to do this. Its just like the thread says, P.i.m.p.

 

I recommend the smoked tails also for black cars, redded out does look much better than stock though!

I still think red/clear looks better.

 

i am doing this today and i'm not likeing the results very much becuse the paint made the taillight look all cloudy

will this go away once the paint dries and hardens or do i need to sand it with some fine grit sandpaper to get the shine back? if so what grit should i use 600, 800...?

 

Good question, in case black out upper part of tails that I will will do on my White car will look really gay....

 

too much red, not enough clear. The 97-99 red-clears look good but I prefer the skyline altezza mod myself. I'm going to try the cf altezza with the ugly chrome trim painted bm1 color and see how that looks. Just got my taillights from southwest so now I just need to shop for the paint. Anyone have pointers on good online paint sources?

 

I agree. Red/Clear combo look better even when smoked....score!

99maxima5spd, you should take your 99 butt to another thread and stop telling people how to live their lives. if you don't like red so much, why'd you add more to your tails???

hahaha sorry man you got me, i'm out of it and confused the two posts. i guess i got mixed up when replying to each. you didn't mention not liking red, but you keep post whoring bad jokes in here so i commented.

to all the people commenting on how they like other tails better, i'm sure the majority of people in here would prefer red/clears or body color altezzas, but for less than $5, they're pretty decent compared to stock.

i guess i'm done here and i'll stop before i make a bigger foo of myself.
