I have a 97 Maxima SE 5-speed witch I paid 12,000 dollars for about two months ago. I have since then added a K&N air filter and a cattman y-pipe and I turned a 14.66 at Houston Raceway Park. Sorry to burst your bubble. But better luck next time.

When I ran my 14.7, I had a 2.1 60ft time at 92.6 The track I ran it at was very sticky. Norwalk in fact in Ohio. Before I ran that time, I was averaging low 15`s. You didn`t burst my bubble. When I ran those times, my car was dynoed at 162 hp at the wheels, but then I got my catback and K&N filter. So I don`t know the dyno numbers are yet. I am going to get a custom burned chip, in the next few weeks, so we see what happens next.

The track where he ran is literally 15 miles from the coast so it is right at sea level.

Rob(Car With No Name) and I actually say Charlie(?) run a 14.6 at River City Raceway outside San Antonio back in December. Here's the twist--all Charlie had was Stillen short throw shifter, cat-back exhaust and an adapter plate with 3" inlet cone filter. That's NO y-pipe! I saw his slip. He thinks it is because his 95se 5spd is bare bones--cloth interior no sunroof. He did take out his spare and jack for that run,and air temp was 50deg. pretty impressive.

Another unusual thing about his car worth mentioning is that he runs spark plugs 1 step colder than stock. Why? He thinks they'll work better he says. He used to race motorcycles and is currently a tech. at a Lexus dealer so he does have quite a bit of technical knowledge. I just found this to be rather strange. I wouldn't think it would account for his low timeslip, but who knows. Super cool guy.
