I love this car !!! (newbie post)

As of yesterday, I am the proud owner of a 1995 Maxima GLE w/ 73k miles. It is in great shape inside and out, and hey I realize most of you enthusiasts probably have SE models, but the GLE is what I've got and I like it!

I am a synthetic oil believer and think the first thing I am going to do is switch over. I bought the car from a dealer and they did a recondition including changing the oil but with 73k miles I want to get the synthetic in there ASAP to reduce the chance of any leaking. I was so excited to find that it is actually possible to reach the oil filter and change the oil yourself! For so many cars, this is almost impossible if you don't have it on a lift.

I have been a Honda man for many years, and just happened across this Maxima by chance. I thank God (literally) for finding this car!

Yeah, I really fell for the car after seeing the interior. It was dark and raining the night I bought it, plus the dealer had not detailed the exterior and it was kind of dirty, so I really did not know how good the paint was until the next day. I think it must have been garage-kept. The inside looks almost new.

Regarding mods, I might put a spoiler on the back but that would be about it. I'm probably an old fart compared to the age of most of you guys, and I just want a solid-running, great looking car. I am upgrading from a 1990 Honda Accord with 213000 miles (one owner) and I plan on keeping this car for a long time.

Well as a fellow 95 GLE owner, all i can say is they are awesome cars and last forever. I dont even baby my car and it's still kicking

Great colors, oh and in case you're wondering you'll never get used to the crappy cup holder, every time you go to use it you'll curse it

Since you got the 95, you've also got the cool cornering lamps

Interior looks perfect, that's a great find on a car that age.
Don't sell yourself short on being an old fart, I'm sure there are just as many .orgers your age modding their rides too. Plus if you stick around here long enough you'll get the bug.
Enjoy that "new" car!

Car looks like it is in great shape. You should be happy with it as is... but if I can make one recommendation--get new rims. Those 1995-1996 GLE rims are pretty ugly IMHO.

Yes I agree, the rims aren't all that great. Maybe one day I'll replace them. Will the SE rims fit without changing tires? And would any '95-'99 SE rims fit or only ones from a '95?

Wow, that might be the nicest interior I've ever seen on a Maxima. I would suggest getting some diamond cut clear corners. It looks great, is pretty cheap, and is very easy to install. Just my 2 cents. Anyway, great car! 73K on a 1995 is nothing.

SAME COLOR AS ME!! I wish i had black interior though, I like the way it looks with the blue exterior. Do what I did and loose the pin stripes and get some diamond cut clears on there!

Great color and very nice find. 73K on a 95 is not bad at all. Welcome to the ORG and enjoy.
