Hey guys,
I have no idea on what the right gap size is for my spark plugs on my 96.
I know its a pretty smiple ? But I cant find the answer anywhere......Help

NGK Plats or Coppers. Gap to .44. Spend the money and get the plats.

bring those back and get a refund, anything other than ngk will run like crap...trust me i experienced, i once put in some cheap bosch and 4 months later they were toast, they just arent god quality. i got ngk now and car runs gr8, stick with ngk plats for long life or coppers, cheaper but less life than the plats. good luck

The Maxima was designed with NGK plugs in mind. Do not run anything but NGK spark plugs. You could get the platinums or the coppers. The platinums cost a good bit more the coppers but will last for 100K miles (but don't leave them in that long...change them ever 60K or so). The coppers are rated to last for 30K miles but they should be changed every 15K or so. I went with the coppers because even though they have to be changed more often, it's cheaper to change them repeatedly than buy the platinums.

Ok Ok I changed them for NGK platinums, I am sure glad you guys dont do crack as ill be a crack head for sure.

There is a How-To for changing the plugs stickied at the top of the forum The front 3 are under the gray cover and the other 3 are in the back.

The rear ones are a PITA but do it slowly and you won't loose any screws. Or better yet, use a magnetic screwdriver once you've loosened the screws holding the coilpacks down.
