245/45-16 on 7.5" rims
#3
Well... I currently run 225/50-16 on a 6.5" SE rim.
I now have some 7.5" 300zx rims.
The 225 are too small, not enough traction.

For a 7.5" rim, I recommend a 235 at the widest. Maybe a 225.

Well the 300z rims come stock w/ 225 so that's the oem recommended size. But I suppose you could go 235s too.
But IMHO traction is much more of a function of the brand of tire vs how wide the tire is. Ie.. a cheap 245 tire will not out grip a 225 top of the line Michelin Pilot series tire. I mean the diff between a 245 and 225 is 20mm=0.86".

you dont want the 245 , it will give your rim/tire that bubble look. The Tire rack sellls 235 with their 7.5 inch tires but you could easily put on 225 or even 215. I am curently looking for 225 for my 17x7.5 rims
