Best Cat Back Upgrade

I'm happy with my GReddy. I think cat-back on a max is more of personal taste rather than which is better. Power will be about the same from one to the next. I think the main differences are ss vs. aluminized, pipe size, tips, price, and most importantly the sound.

I just ordered the Apex'i WS for $390 shipped from NRGTek.com. I don't think anybody actually has it on their car yet, and unfortunately, they are out of stock for another week or so. So I can't give a firsthand experience, but the muffler is stainless, and it's supposed to have a nice mellow sound with an increase in mid- and high- range torque. Hopefully I'll have it on the car within 2 weeks, and I'll post a review.

The best way to get a deal on any exhaust is to go and make friends with a local speed shop. You'll be able to eliminate shipping & handling. Find a good local shop and usually if you are a regular customer, they will tend to sell you stuff at a lower price. Most importantly, shop around, both on the internet & at shops. It's good to have an idea of prices from a variety of sources.

I paid 540 installed. It was suppose to be 600 installed, but the GReddy distibutor kept screwing up, so the place I bought it from knocked 10% off. That's what I mean about being friendly with a shop. BTW it not hard to install, but since the guy usually gives me a deal, I in turn give back to him and pay for install.
