*post pics* carbon fiber, aluminum, spray paint dash kit!

does anyone have pics of a carbon fiber dash kit installed in a 4th gen? If so post pics here! I'm debating a cf kit vs an aluminum kit vs a silver spray painted or gunmetal like spray painting dash.

thanks!

alright, then add chrome dash kit to the list!

I also want this to become a picture archive of dash choices because I couldn't find one in the past threads.

keep em coming! Any head on shots of the jt alum kit? Trying to decide if it's to shiny for me. Not sure yet because I haven't seen them in person yet.

btw, I have a black on black 95 max gxe. If you want to suggest what you all think would look the best please do.

thanks

man, I really like the cf, jt aluminum, and painted....argh. how do I make the choice!

taken to max, how shiny is the CF? I'd want it to be subtle so it blends mostly in with my black dash. Where did you get yours and how much was it?

happyricefob, how easy is it to see the "grains" or lines on the aluminum? I'd like a smooth slick look... which is why I like mzmtg's spray painted look!

It's not blinding if you are going for that. The weave just reflects the sunshine. The photo doesn't do the kit justice in this thread. It's really more beautiful in person. I got mine on ebay for $149shipped. I got about 22 pieces but only used the ones for the dash.

Is that real carbon fiber? If so I would love to get that, I have nothing done interior-wise so far I'm also thinking of painting my dash with the graphite wheel paint I have laying around...not sure if I should or not though.

Id like to see a graphite dash kit... I was thinking of painting it with the wheel paint too, but don't know how it would look. I got the idea from the interior of a mazda 6, now Im contemplating on an ebay kit...

I like the interior to be all black.
At least in the SE's I think it looks better.
I don't know what my opinion is about the tan, but my entire interior is black. No chrome anywhere, and I love it. Just my .02

wow,

great creativity guys! wheel paint looks great!

I think if I did that I would do it a slightly darker color though. I like chillinmax's idea to use his graphite paint. I might have to test it out...!

How do you guys think graphite wheel paint would look on a black dash? How about a red painted Nissan symbol on the steering wheel? Also is there any dash kit out there that uses real carbon fiber?

Those kits look sweet.
I paid a little over 200.00 for mine and its fake CF.
Ive had mine for over 3yrs though, their werent too many dash kits out then and real CF was waaayy expensive.
MaximaRider,
How much was yours?
I may have to redo mine.

The side vents are held on by 2 clips on both sides. After you find those clips you can just pry each one out with a screwdriver.

Out of all the trim pieces the side vents are the easiest to crack, imo. I slightly cracked the driver's side vent but it was a small crack...it isn't noticeable.

The real carbon fiber kits can all be found on ebay. The thing is that you have to type in "real carbon fiber kits" in the search field. Most companies try to sell you cf kits but don't sell you real ones. The only companies that want to make money off of these things emphasize that they have "real" cf kits.

I got mine off of ebay for $149 shipped.
