injen intake install question
ok im almost done installing the intake but there is one problem im running into. i got the intake 2 days ago and last night i tried installing it and i got it all done except that the "handle" is not connected to the screw. i realized that part of the stock air box which is mounted right under the battery and the fusebox (or whatever it is) needs to come off before i can turn the pipe in the correct degree so that the handle would meet the screw.
my question is, did you guys remove this part of the stock airbox in order to hook up the handle or not? is this piece connected to anything else? it was pretty hard to remove it because i only found one screw holding it and then i gave up last night and saved the rest for this morning.
any suggestions for removing this piece? if its necessary in first place.
btw the filter is sitting right behind the fan right now, is it ok if i just leave it there and forget about it or should i install it properly??
thx alot.

YES, you need to remove the airbox under the battery in order for the filter to fit down there. the box is just a reservoir for air, or some kind of resonator in the stock intake system. you don't need it.
If the handle does not fit into the screw on the block very well, you might try using a washer to put on there as well.
The Injen will sit right behind the edge of the radiator/fan. Which kinda sucks because it's just absorbing hot air. I have an Injen myself... and I'm looking for a way to get cooler air.
