Hard Shift

My car makes a hard shift into second gear when I really get on the gas pedal. This does not feel normal. I have 192k on my car. Are there any additives I can add or how do any of you guys feel about a tranny flush?

That is normal because my tranny has always done the same thing. Usually, the first 10-15 minutes of driving, my tranny is kinda rough. After warming up, it becomes much smoother. I think this is due to my Hayden Tranny Cooler. It takes longer to warm the tranny fluid with the cooler installed.

Does anyone know why there is an acceleration lull when shifting from 2nd to 3rd? It seems it is accelerating really well in second and when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd, you can feel the shift (not jerkiness but a sort of hesitation), but definitely not slipping. I think I'm used to my other car the civic and it doesn't seem to have this characteristic.
