now u need red clears and clear corners and tint. wax jobs looks good but i dont trust those brands. i use 3m products only cause they last longer and give a better result.

yeah, i heard about those products, but im not huge into detailing. i spent three hours today on the wash/polish/wax, but thats about it for me. i just buy products around here that i've heard good stuff about. nxt beads like a ****, and the auto magic stuff is what professional shops use when detailing.

and yeah, i know, i reall want some red/clears, and clear corners. I gotta see what my next few checks look like. first im gonna replace the o2 sensor, then budget y pipe, then custom exhaust set up that i still havent made my mind up on yet. the clear corners will come in between all that, but the tint and red clears will have to wait til after graduation in june.

My brother has been a professional detailer for 2 years, the best combination for shine and long lasting gloss is to use Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow Wax its like $8.98 then use Meguiars Show Car Glaze over that $8.98.

It really makes your paint color look alot deeper

depends on what kind of shops though. i know a dude that works on high class german and japaneese imports and they only use 3m 3 steps system. they first wet sand and then buff it with a machine with a base cream, then comes the smooth cream and then comes the protection cream. that is what my bro did to my car also but it is the more expensive route but will last longer.

Yeah, you know you can get the clears bumper lights on ebay for like 30 bucks and the red/clears you can do yourself

Cost of bumper lights: $30

Cost of Red/clear taillights: $5

Cost of knowing that you didn't have to wait for the next few paychecks: Priceless

thanks skiboarder. i used to not like meguiars wax, til i tried out the nxt. it works some magic. it rained today, and my car never beaded like it did today. when it stopped raining, it was dry in 5-10 minutes from just driving. i love it. i got the look, next is the performance.

Don't clear the tails yourself, that's a big pain and it can never look as good as the factory-made ones. I bought mine from RedlineMax, they're on the site now for $139.99 shipped. It's worth it. They are the EXACT same housings as stock except the orange part is clear. It has the same "DOT" etching, just doesn't say NISSAN. Perfect fit (although you can see the left side of my trunk is sitting too high, need to fix that).

Normally eBay's fine, but for clear corners you want to make sure you get the good diamond-cut ones. I got my diamond-cut corners from Southwest for $42 shipped. Includes bulbs, easy install...

Hope to see you at a Wisconsin meet soon, man.

I have clear corner lenses. I'd sell them but they aren't worth the s&h.

Leaving the stock amber lenses (front and back) seems more original to me anyway. Who cannot afford a $30 set of clear lenses that takes a screwdriver and 2 minutes to replace?

Nice color. Looks like this one w/o the green.

ha, i wasnt planning on clearing them myself, just based on the fact that I know ill mess it up. Eventually I'll buy some red/clears, but thats not my main concern right now. Like I said, the bumper lenses will come in between all the other stuff I gotta repair, because the orange just looks hideous IMO, but I've got some ricers around town talkin it up, so I gotta get my car back to working order, then the y pipe will be on its way.
