cooling hoses on a 98 maxima

does it make sence to replace all the cooling hoses as per dealer advice? I am going on a roadtrip, and dont want to chance anything. If I would have them replace the hoses, do they replace all of them, or certain failure prone ones?

Unless you have tons of miles, it is likely overkill, especially on a '98. I haven't really heard of any maximas blowing hoses, especially '98s. I don't think underhood temps are that high either-Look them over and make sure they aren't excessively soft, or brittle. I doubt "all" hoses need replacement. If you are paranoid, carry some water and a hose repair kit, just to be safe.

What's their reasoning for replacing all of them? There is no reason to replace all of them if they are in good condition.
