I am hoping you mean the trim on your dash and not the entire thing... either way... yes duplicolor is supposed to be the one to use. if you look in the faqs there is a how-to on it. I know that is not your question, but it may help.

duplicolor makes this wheel paint, which can be used on your trim. they only have a few colors and a clear coat I believe. so it's either silver, or graphite, black, white, or bronze. they also make chrome and gold but its not wheel paint and i don't think that would look all to good anyways.

everyone has painted their dash silver, I think it would be nice to see a graphite one though.

heres some links for ya...

Im thinkin about doing this soon.. Where can i find the paint? How long do i need to wait before i can apply another coat. What grit sand paper do i need? jdm71488 what would a graphite dash look like? I think it would look good but would it show as well? i have a black dash. thanks

i have heard autozone carries it, or you can get it off their website, but it would probably be cheaper locally at some store. id let it dry as long as it tells you to on the back of the can. graphite would look pretty cool. it wouldn't show as much as silver, but if you looked at it close it would stand out from the dash. if you want it to be seen, id go silver, but the whole smoked look i think graphite would look better.

you don't need sandpaper really, you could, but the surface would hold the paint. just clearcoat after a few paint coats. it should be ok...

If you paint the whole dash good luck with not having an accident every week. Do you have any idea what kind of glare that thing is gonna give off? If you're just painting the parts that can be covered with a dash kit then you should be good.

Look for a vinyl paint. And use TSP to clean the plastic. I ran my dash pieces through the dish washer w/ it.

Use Duplicolor High Rub Wheel Paint. I wouldnt clear coat it because of glare issues. But its your call. I didnt clear coat mine and its fine no scratches so far and its a nice finish. Check out the pics at my domain. http://members.cardomain.com/conz35
Good Luck

after i remover the whole piece ( vent with rear def, hazard) there are about 6 clips holding each vent. 3 top and 2 or 3 on the bottom. just take your time taking the 2 vents out. its pretty selfexplanitory. the window switch plate come right out. i used a butter knife to pry it up. after that, unplug the wire harnest and take the 2 philips screws out. clean the plate and start painting. btw i did not use any primer. just make sure the surface is clean.
