Brakes!?
#1
Can someone with a shop manual post/email me the instructions for replacing the front and rear brakes on a 4th gen SE? I hate to be a pest, but I think that will be next weekends project and I don't have a manual. I have 65k on the stock brakes and they are starting to squeal a bit. ANy suggestions on a good pad or other parts? Where can I get them the cheapest?
Thanks,

You can get Porterfield (carbon kevlar) R4S's for about $120 direct from the manufacturer, and there are some pretty clear instructions for installing them at maximadriver.com. It's pretty straightforward, I did it last weekend and the only problem I had was turning the piston on the rears to get it back inside the caliper (you have to turn it while pushing in, I was just turning.) I love the Porterfields, I have definitely noticed an improvement over stock. Didn't even fade on me when I was towing 3 dirtbikes today.
