I have a question, Ground Control makes coilovers for 98 Maxima's, right? How come then they dont have it on their website? Well, does anyone know how stiff the springs are in the kit? Are you able to customive the spring rates? Like I want to just have 350lbs on all corners. Also, another question, will Koni's go well with the GC's? I dont really want to drop it that much, just a little more than how much my Pro-kit did. Anyone know where they sell Koni's and GC's for the cheapest? Got a qoute from Shox.com and they said $469 for Koni's and $399 for the GC's. I think $399 is a little too much for Ground Controls. Well, any help will be much appreciated.

Ground Controls

the Front spring rate is 450 lbs, the REAR however is somewhat of a mystery. i called ground control and asked them what was up, because the numbers on the spring and printed on the box are NOT in the typical format for an Eibach spring... which is what ground control uses. GC would not tell me what the rear spring rate is, because they said it took a long long time and lots of work for them to work out the optimal spring rate. i dont have the box handy, so i cant remember it exactly, but the rear spring rate is something like GC.150.60.66 which is NOT how Eibach spring rates are usually denoted.

As far as pricing goes, $399 is correct, i've seen them for $389 and $395 at the various places i've looked. i got mine for $339 + $20 shipping through a Group Buy on www.groupbuycenter.com. Ground control will give you any spring rate you choose for an additional $20 or $40 (cant remember which.) Personally id just go with whatever it is they give you, if its taken this long to get a Maxima kit made, they must have done their homework, especially if they are keeping so tight lipped on what the rate of the springs are. If i had to guess id say 350-375 lbs/in in the rear. but thats just an educated guess.
