does this definitly fit the 4th gen Max? Just comparing to my new budget Y pics and can not tell if it is the same configuration. Looks like a nice pipe.

That pipe is for the 99 Max.

I think they are a little less or about the same. But something about that pipe does not look right. The part to the cat looks offset.

yes the part to the cat does look a little bit different.

Anyone have this pipe on their Max?? If so how was the installation/fittment?

Its only 2.25". It has some good and bad qualities. Good: The different shape after the flex makes installation easier than the Budget. Its probabl a little worse flowing because of the extra bends but the installation would be much easier. Bad: 2.25 inch. Unecessary joint creates more disruption of flow, thus reducing exhaust energy(AKA less power). This joint also needs more bolts to secure it which equal extra weight. This is also true of the bracket that mounts in the stock position. This bracket is unecessary and adds weight. If anything, this bracket adds another place at which the pipe can buzz or rattle. Deezo, I think it is for all fourth gens. The joint is there to save the company having make two different types. If your cali spec you don't need that little piece but if you aren't you do.
