Pictures of my DIN gauge setup

Yesterday at the Jordan Lake NC meet, alot of the guys showed interest in my gauge panel, so i figured i would post some pics. I went to Hobby Lobby and i got a sheet of aluminum, it only cost like 10 bucks for 2 sheets. it's pretty thin, so it's easy to make little bends in it. i took out the whole center console and took all the measurements. i cut out a panel from the aluminum and then cut it to fit the back side of the radio tray area under my radio. i stuck it in place with some Trinity double-sided tape...this stuff is super sticky and super strong, because it's used to mount electronics in R/C cars. with it mounted i took a center measurement and then i cut out a 2" hole with a hole saw. then i used a dremel to clean up the cut and to bore out the hole a little to fit my Autometer C2 Air Fuel gauge. i then mounted it up in the hole and put everything back in my car. I had alread hooked up the A/F gauge with conectors, so no need to wire it in.

Here's the final product in both day and night.

The whole project cost less than $15, not including the gauge.
Let me know what you guys think

Looks good. I made a similar setup in a chevy malibu we had. Except I made it to help hold the stereo into place and for the heater/ac controls.

Now all you need something to fill the “bare” areas of the aluminum. And maybe get an aluminum dash kit for the gauge bezel?!?

Thanks Tyler

No thanks on the water temp, i'm going to be getting fuel pressure and nitrous pressure next. i haven't started my summer job, so i'm still a poor college student, lol. those gauges arent cheap. 200 bucks a pop for the pressure gauges.

i like the pretty LED's though , but not just that it was only 80 bucks from summit, so i started with it.

i thought about the HKS panel, but it was like 70 bucks or so. plus i would have probably had to get it from hks's website which i think was more than that. no one around here carries hks products or are distributors.

i like it though, don't get me wrong. i should prolly get an egt too...mo money, mo money, mo money...when does it stop
