seems they ad some hp for some cars but havent found anything for the max anyone using one where to buy it or does it have to me custom made any info on desing

Throttle body spacers work very well for carburated vehicles, because the spacer (especially if it is spiral-cut on the inner surface) allows the air-fuel mix to atomize better and sometimes it will increase the density of the mixture too (= more air/fuel in the cylinders).

TB spacers are not going to as effective for a fuel injected car, because only air is going to passing through it. A TB spacer "might" increase air velocity slightly, however, I wouldn't count on a noticible increase in performance.

TB spacers do add power, but usually only in carburated vehicles. They are still marketed towards FI applications because they have an old reputation for being an easy HP gain.

hmm, they help atmozie the fuel only in carb. cars, but if your running a wet nitrous setup, this might be a worth while investment.

 

but have anyone here tried one just to see if theres any gain in hp i saw plates being made for some GM and FORD fuel injected vehicles they seems to have spiral cuts maybe to aid increase velocity it may worth the try specially when trying to squeeze every hp you can from your engine since theres a few swapping to pathfinder tb they might try the spacer as well tomorrow i will go to my friend shop to see how easy and how much to custom make one but any info that might help me let me know like thickness material anything that might help me

isn't a throttle body spacer one of those tornado ,piggy back and resistor type mods??

 

no not at all, that spacer might work for those using the pathfinder throttle body

 

Those using the TB are already using a spacer. The one above needs to be modified anyway to fit the max.
