Question about the indiglo gauges.

I have a 98 maxima and really don't know what model it is . I guess its a gxe being i'm sure its not a se. I was looking at the indiglo gauges on ebay and most of them say for se . I need to know if the gauges are the same in the se and gxe . Or do I need to look for a set of gauges for a Gxe . Also can i change all the bulb in the interior to match the gauges if I do get some gauges.

Thanx

well the only thing u really need to worry about is if your speedo gauge is digital or not digital. It doesnt matter if its a SE GXE or GLE. i have installed many gauges on many different maximas and other cars as well. i own an SE my dad owns a GXE 95 and 96 and i put gauges inb both ours. for the lights there are 4 of them. you have to take all 4 bulbs (should have a blue bulb condom on them and brown backing as well being a 194 wedge bulb. replace the 2 bulbs in the speede with 2 LED 194 wedge lights so the other bulbs dont heat the gauges and burn the indiglos. (had it happen already to my dads car and solved it with the LEDs) if you have digital im not sure what lights the digital part up. Hope this helps.

Uh yes it does matter if it's an SE or GXE. The GXE/GLE gauges for 98-99 Maximas will not fit SEs without modification. I had to cut off the little needle stoppers and super glue them onto my new indiglo gauge faces because the holes on the gauge faces don't line up at all.

That was the same situation that I went through, all the gauges I found that I wanted were for SE's. That's why I created the Indiglo/Reverse gauges for 98-99 GXE/GLE's. One product for those that wanted either indiglo or reverse.
