How do I get rid of brake dust and keep it away.....my cars rims are always dirty as hell cause of all the brake dust. I told brakes plus and it never went away so im not sure what it is but I have to wash and scrub like once a week just to keep them decent....any suggestions?

Different brake pads. Metal Masters would be a good choice.

too expensive though.....i was hoping there was some sort of cleaner or something that would prevent the dust from sticking to the tires.

Wax your rims and brake dust comes off really easy.

All brakes produce dust, deal with it.

njmaxseltd, bingo. Wax your rims and then regularly spray tire wet on the rim and tire. This will act as another barrier layer of wax. Thats what works for me. I do this every weekend and it only takes 15 minutes.

Or you can get dust guards. If you're like me, i've made it a habit to wipe my wheels everyday even if no dust is visible. I love the way my 5 spoke shines.

Get some Raybestos Quiet Stop pads for like $40 and you will have the least amount of dust I have ever seen from a pad.

Waxing your wheels is also a good idea.
I wash mine once a week if I can, so you can just deal with it. I mean, it is not that much harder to get down there and wipe them pff everytime you wash your car. That is at least what I do, and that is pretty often when it is not raining for a straight week like it has been this week.

You could also paint the rims so they don't show it as easily. That's part of the reason why I'm painting my rims.

Yea...i need to do that but all I have is the factory jack so it will take forever...i don't know exactly what to do if I bought a jack that goes under the car.....I don't know where to put it because I heard if you put it on the rear suspension the bar may become unstable. I want to do this after graduation this weekend =)

Put a block of wood between the jack and the beam to ensure good contact between the jack and the beam. Once you have the car raised, put jackstands under it where you'd normally place the factory jack when changing a flat tire. Repeat at the other side of the car. The front has a little mound on the cross member designed to be a jack point. Middle of the car, about a foot deep.
