A few weeks ago now, I was doing a really good wash, clean, polish, and wax of the Max. Well, I used an random motion orbital buffer with terry cloth towells for everything. It went really well except for one thing..........I just must have buffed up against the black trim that goes around the windows and dulled it out.

You know what trim I am talking about? For instance, on the rear window, it is the shiny black trim that goes all the way around the window. It is not shiny now, but rather dull. I don't like this because it is ugly.

Any suggestions of how to correct this?
Any help you could extend?

try to buff the scratches off... or maybe you can spray paint it

works wonders. You can buy it at autozone. Guaranteed to fix your problems with the wax on trim. Also works AWESOME on detailing engine bays.

EDIT: It's $3.99/can at Autozone. It works wonders. Everybody should use this stuff to detail their engine bays, make their hoses and wires look new again, etc.

That stuff might work.
I am not talking so much about there being white wax left on the trim, but it is just dulled out like I buffed the shine off of it with something.
Do you know what I mean?

I used this on my back window trim and it worked great.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Then I buffed with a foam finishing pad from Meguiars and the Profesional Swirl Mark Remover. A++++ It took out all the swirl marks and made the trim look new. You have to be careful on the trim. If you buff too much with a buffer it will melt it. I am not sure on the back window trim tho. I have only been doing a piece by piece job and tried this only on the side window trim. It didnt take much buffing at all. Just a light once over.

Just get some trim cleaner or something or some stuff they use on weather stripping. Works for me.

Even some lexol vinyl conditioner may do the trick... same type of bottle as their leather stuff (cleaner/condtioner) but in a blue bottle (if I remember correctly).
