****! need urgent help. regarding CV axel install.

last night i took out both axels to replace the boots. i was able to take them out with a little trouble as it was my first time doing this job. today, i put both axels back. put everything together, and decided to see how it went. I still had the car on stands. I started the engine and put it in drive, but only the driver side wheel is spinning!! this can't be normal can it?! the passenger side seem to want to spin, but doing so very slowly, even when the speedometer was showing around 20mph ( the front of the car is still on the stands by the way, and i made sure nothing could accidently get under the wheels).

please help me. i don't know if this is normal, i really don't think it is but i dont know. what could be the problem?

Do you have a limited slip? If not your fine. A car without limited slip puts power down to whichever wheel is free. A car with limited slip will put power down to both regradless of conditions.

no i haven't put it back onto the ground yet because i'm afraid of breaking something inside. only the driver side is spinning, the passenger side tries to spin but kinda get "stuck"

You don't have limited slip. No US 4th gen does, especially AUTO, unless an aftermarket piece was installed.

If you have someone brave enough, have them touch the wheel that is spining with something to slow it down a bit and if the other wheel starts to spin more then it's ok.

Maybe you torgue the hub bolt to tight??

That could be it or push the brakes and see if durring the install on of the pads is on wrong or touching.
