STP fuel system cleaners- do you guys use it on your maximas?

STP fuel system cleaners- do you guys use it on your maximas?

i remember reading before on the G20 forums that these fuel system cleaners were not good for nissan cars. i don't remember the reasons anymore. do you guys have any thoughts or comments on it?

It even says this in the owner's manual I think. It is a waste of money from my experience. I never saw any improvement whatsoever and I used a lot of stuff. Fuel injector cleaners, SeaFoam, and a bunch of others.

I dont think that these products are intended to increase perfomance, however the are designed to maintain performance by reducing or removing carbon buildup. If you have even seen the spray pattern that a clogged fuel injector produces you can understand why they develop these kinds of products. I have never used STP fuel products, but I have used a product made by Lucas before. I didn't really notice any power gains but I have the piece of mind that for about $5 bucks I've done my best to keeps things functioning properly. Some people use these product religously & some people not at all. I guess what I'm getting at is use them at your own discrestion.
