The engines from a 95-99 Max are the same. The Infiniti I30 also uses these (I think the 96-99 ones). The engine is a VQ30DE.
The 2000-2001 Maximas use the same engine, but their intake manifolds are different. They have the VQ30DE-K engine. Some one was able to put a 2000/2001 engine into their car using their old intake manifold.
