C/D and slotted rotors question
C/D and slotted rotors question
For those of you running cross-drilled and slotted rotors, do you find that your rims dust up quicker? I just had my new suspension installed along with new cross-drilled and slotted rotors and Quiet Stop pads. After one day, the rims were covered in brake dust. You could see the layer of dust on the rims. Is this common with this type of rotor design? Are there other pads out there that dust less than the Quiet Stops? I thought these pads were low dusting...sure doesn't look that way. Man I had way less dust with the stock rotors and pads.
Yes. Think about it. With the holes and the slots the rotors CUTR into the pad instead of just sliding against it. IMO you just wasted your money on the C/D unless you just wanted them for looks.
