do the agxs need modified to let the ground control coilovers to fit? If so how hard is it to do?

 

i think some minor grinding of the lower strut perch is needed to accomodate the GC's. i dont think its a tough job, and nothing that a dremel or air grinder couldnt handle.

i am not sure of where you need to grind though as i have not installed GC's before. maybe someone else could be so kind to shed some more light on the subject.

Ya where can i get a dremel? I dont have either of those tools. i read on the Maxmod site that minor grinding is required bceause they might squeek. But i really dont want to grind them.

 

home depot for the dremel. make sure you get or it comes with a metal grinding bit since you will obviously be grinding metal.

Alright thanks... I hope i dont have to grind them. I though they fit the AGXs but they had a problem squeeking and grinding was the solution.

 

You will have to dremel the front agx. It is not alot to dremel, the agx or the gc instrutions will have some diagrams on what to dremel.

How do you think it was installed on my struts? Do you think it was grinded on my setup ?

 

Yes you will have to grind them, i used a bench grinder.... Also, it will not stay in alignment with the bearing plate using the Al top hats.... It may, but not on mine. I had to get rubber top hats

Did you grind yours? Is there any way around this? Am i going to need a camber kit?

 

I have a camber kit on mine. I am not sure what grinding is, but the coil over is directly attached to my strut. We took strut out, and even the ground control was directly attached to the strut. It may have been grinded, I didn't install it, so I am not sure.

 

just camber bolts if you drop it the whole 3 inches.... 35 on SWA

 

how do i adjust or set the kit. where does it get installed? hehe i love suspension
