Kinda a useless mod, but i havnt seen anyone else with it. The number will glow when its in that gear.

Laugh now, but it will be done!

having it doen there would be stupid. if you could wire it to be up in the middle of your guage cluster, that would be cool.

I know tony has the shifting lights in his dash to let him know when to shift to the next gear. I guess to have it on the shifter **** would be pretty cool.

did the picture "diagram" in the first post not specify which lights he was discussing?

don't the have **** *** that light up.
well it can be something simple like.... at the shifter it self underneth have a web of light connectors switches (just like a switch on a wall) when the shifter gets in contact between to connector it will light a certain light buld.
the shifter will act as the loop connector.
can anyone understand what I'm talking about.
if i was smart enought I would try to invent this. but i'm just stupid

there was a mod somewhere on the forum where a guy made his auto max into a sport shift version where it tells you what gear you are in inside your guage.

Can it be installed in the steering wheel? how about putting it in the visor? Better yet, what about the headrests so that my backseat passangers can see? Personally, I don't see the point. If I am reading the diagram right, you would have to look down and take your eyes off of the road just to see it light up. Creative though.

Creative, but useless.
Absolutely no need.

If you're gonna do this, at least use a 7 segment LED and a conversion board to put all the numbers in the same place. Might be interesting, but not real useful.

i have thought of doing this on my prelude for a while...i thought there would be trouble with the contact switches though cause you have some play in the shifter and you dont want to interfere with shifting, so i thougth about using the (i guess) magnetic switches from house alarms...they put them in windows and doors to sense when there open or not. good luck if you do it
